Forgiveness

Water cascading in ribbons down mountains

Traveling through gorges, forests, and meadows

Gliding over rocks and boulders immense

Softening rough edges, each one to her will

Shifting into nourishment, soil, and roots

Exhaling as oxygen through pine needle tips

Letting go into sky into freedom into space

Transforming my heart into Divine living faith

My Eyes

When he told me he fell in love with my eyes,

I remembered

I was ten

And

Before I knew he chose his death

My grandmother,

Who never spoke of him, said:

“You have his almond-shaped eyes.”

And

More than twenty years later,

At the end of her life she asked,

“Why did my true love leave me?”

I looked at her with his eyes

And

Said the only thing I could think to say:

“He was suffering.”

In the Womb of Winter

In the womb of winter

Deep and dark

I give of myself so completely

Shedding and stripping

The scales of defenses I’ve devised through my lifetime

Surrendering

Who I am in this armor

Until all that is left of me

Is a grain

Of sand of light of truth

From which to expand and create

A new life

For the Least of These

During the longest nights

As darkness invites us to rest

Cold and damp carry us within

To find warmth in the hearth of our hearts

May all people

Holding their spirituality

From crystals to crucifixes

Call upon the Spirit

Not for their materialism

But for ceasefire

In the homeland of Abraham

Mercy for the least of these

Through humanity’s darkest night

Hey Friends! If you enjoy my art and writing, now is the perfect time to send me some love. I am running a fundraiser through my Etsy shop for my interactive art installation, Varanasi Sage, which I’m showing in Center Camp at Burning Man this year. It’s a dream come true, but it requires updates and repairs because I’m showing it in a completely new way.

The gift for a donation is a brand new collection of my poetry and a 3 inch sticker. I love this new collection, which contains some of my favorites from the past few years mixed with prose to create a narrative arc. This is my first collection of poetry, and I’m excited to share it with you as a gift for donating to my art fundraiser! I am only offering these items during the fundraiser and that only goes until August 24.

Your support means the world to me, and it truly makes a difference.

Everything in my shop will go towards this project, and you can also help by sharing this with your friends. I hope you will join me in this journey! The links to the Varanasi Sage fundraiser and my shop homepage are below. Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day. 💜
